Our “Be Safe” Syringe Service Program is a harm reduction initiative that takes a holistic approach, inclusive of clean syringe access, sharps disposal, education & linkage to rehabilitative & supportive services.

 

We provide our services in 4 ways:

We use clean injection equipment & storytelling to encourage People Who Inject Drugs (PWID) to be screened for HIV, Hep C & Syphilis and offer referrals to treatment as needed. 

 

1. Provide access to safer injection kits through a Needs-Based model.

2. Facilitate safe disposal of used syringes.

3. Provide and link PWID to the following:

    a. Referral to substance use disorder treatment programs

    b. Screening and linkage to treatment for HIV and viral hepatitis

    c. Education about overdose prevention and safer injection practices

    d. Access to wound care kits;

    e. Access to Naloxone

     f. Referrals to other social support services

We also carry Fentanyl testing strips, Nasal Narcan & Intermuscular Naloxone

Our Wound Care Kits include:

  1. Band-Aids

  2. Alcohol Wipes or towelettes

  3. Gauze pads

  4. Antibiotic Ointment

  5. Ibuprofen tablets

  6. Latex Gloves

Our Syringe Sizes:

  1.           27 Gauge Long 1/2 inch

  2.          28 Gauge Long 1/2 inch

  3.          29 Gauge Long 1/2 inch

  4. ​         30 Gauge Short 5/16 inch​

  5.          31 Gauge Short 5/16 inch

 

WE PROVIDE BIOHAZARD SHARPS CONTAINERS FOR PROPER DISPOSAL METHODS. ONCE FULL BRING THEM BACK AND WE WILL DISPOSE OF USED SYRINGES.
