Syringe Service Program
The "Be Safe" Syringe Service Program is a comprehensive harm reduction initiative that adopts a holistic approach. It encompasses clean syringe access, proper sharps disposal, screening for HIV/AIDS, HEP C, and Syphilis, education, and connecting individuals to rehabilitative and supportive services.
Case Management
Facilitates the process of notifying relevant organizations such as One Stop and case managers about individuals experiencing houselessness enabling them to access housing assistance and support services.
Resources
Offering resources to meet daily needs. including clothing, access to showers, and assistance with establishing an address for mail, ensuring that individuals have essential resources to maintain personal hygiene, mental health services, dignity and a sense of stability
Nutrition
Provides nutrition and beverages whenever available. Recognizing the importance of addressing basic needs such as food and hydration for the well-being of individuals experiencing homelessness.
Building Rapport
Building rapport is essential for establishing positive relationships, fostering effective communication, promoting collaboration, resolving conflicts, and providing emotional support in various personal and professional interactions.
Encampment Sites
As per the city council's decision, encampments contravene city code and cannot remain in place during the day. It is imperative to inform individuals residing in these encampments of the need to relocate and to assist them in finding resources. This ensures that individuals are not subjected to fines or incarceration.
